I was looking at buying a used mbrp can off craigs list for $100 are they any good and how loud are they?

You wont see any performance out of ANY can you put on a sled. Most people will tell you to put the stock back on, 1) You maintain stock HP 2) less noise
IMHO throw a can on, sure you'll lose 2-3 horse, worst case scenario about 5, but i believe the weight loss is a bigger gain than adding 2-3 horse. I say put the can on only if noise restraints are NOT a problem in your area you ride in.

you loose rpms with that can on. my brother had one and the can is fine when trail running as it stays hot. when doing back to back long wot pull on a lake or feild, we found it cools off too much and you get an rpm drop of 5-600rpm unless you wrap the an with 2 layers of header wrap or ceramic coat it. with the wrap on it it stayed up to temp on 5 lake runs at -20c.
