Hi Guys,

While I'm waiting for my engine parts to arrive for the rebuild, I've moved on to the clutch setup on my '04 Viper. As it sits, the clutching is as follows:

Primary - looks to be stock weights (haven't pulled clutch yet), Y-W-Y (black) spring.

Secondary - 51/45 helix (not sure of brand), black spring with a pink mark on it in hole 6.

Not running pipes as of yet.

This is only my second Yamaha, and I know this is not the stock setup so I'm just curious how this setup will perform. I will be riding mostly groomed trails. I've looked over the Tech clutching section for the Viper and this doesn't mimick any of the recommended trail setups.

Thanks,
-Mark

Stock gearing.

I don't know the brand of springs, however I also don't know of any of the performance guys like Goodwin, EPI, SLP, etc that use color codes like this, so they look to be Yamaha springs. The aftermarket companies that I know of all use by solid color springs.

what weights you have are going to be a big factor. you should be able to see the letters on the side of the weights even with the primary together.

Alrighty, will go check that out when I run down for another beer. Thanks!

Great help on this site. The members here are much more helpful than on the other sites, and I'm happy to pay for and help support this forum.
