what is the purpose if the two drain tubes under carbs??

2000 sxr 700. Took carbs out today. What is the purpose of the two hoses that come out the bottom? And where do these go? Do they just lay flat on bottom of engine? I want to make sure they're not supposed to be somewhere special. Thanks

They don't go to anything they just hang there.

2? Not sure what 2 your talking about. There should be 3 overflow tubes from sides of carbs, each carb should have 1 line each to fuel pump. Should be 2 larger lines on pump, 1 runs to tank and other is pulse line to vacum drive the pump. Pulse line runs to crank case kind of below center carb. Maybe a picture?

All my tripples are slightly different than that pic. Not as many elbows and T's. Those are just overflows, say it your float or sometng is sticking will let excess fuel/air vent towards the belly pan. Dont hook up anywhere but need to be clear of obstuctions to work properly
