Hello,
I had my sled out yesterday and it runs great rpms are right on. O and i have bender pipes by the way. My problem is when i am in the powder a while my sled starts to bog down real bad till i get out for a while. I dont believe it is the infamous powder bog because i have the under hood air blocked off and have flowrites installed and a Outerwear prefilter as well.
The only thing i can think of is my front bottom vent on my hood was knocked out and lots of sbow was piling up under my pipes and possibly cooling my pipes causing power loss? This siund possible? My plan was to tape closed the two bottom vents and see if it solves my problen? Good idea or not?

do you have a diverter for powder riding in front of your exhaust pipe?
Not quite sure what you mean. Are to talking about the exhaust deflector under the mag side belly pan right over the exhaust outlet? If so then yes i do.
You are correct about keeping your pipe hot. If too much snow gets on the open pipe it will cool off to much and loose the proper flow. The OEM pipe has a heat shield which contains the heat and minimizes the problem. Another item to look at is the pipe outlet, if wet snow is not diverted away from the outlet, a high back pressure can develope. Al
well my mtn viper has the outlet exhaust deflector. so i am thinking that the pipe cooling is the issue. but i wont know till i ride again. anyone else have any ideas.
