I'm thinking of moving to colorado, currently living in VT. Wondering what the sledding is like out in colorado. Is it mostly free range powder like I see in slednecks etc or is there a groomed trail system? Are people able to ride from their houses or do they have to trailer to where there's snow? I currently have a 1999 SRX700 with what I think is a stock track, gets stuck pretty easily. I assume this wouldn't be very good in the deep mountain powder..

We lived in Grand Lake Co in 91-93. Great place to ride. Yes, there are many groomed trails with alot of off trail deep bowls to powder ride in. We lived in town, and at that time the streets were still dirt and unplowed in the winter months. So yes you could ride directly from the house to the trail. Another fine riding area is Winter Park, many trails which are groomed and alot of deep snow for powder runs. When we lived there, I ran a 121" Exciter studded track. 1" lug. I was stuck alot, but that is the fun of it. Have fun Al
