Getting ready to put a set of 01 VMax Skis on one of our Ovations. From reading on the forum here, it looks like the mods to the aluminum saddle are to create a pocket for the rubber bumper used on the TSS setup. Correct? My main question though is on using the stock bolt hole in the saddle to bolt to the TSS strut. On the Ovation, if I use the existing hole in the saddle it will move the ski back 2" or so from where it would have been on the VMax. On the 01 front suspension, the center of the spindle lines up with the mounting hole in the saddle. On the Ovation TSS, the center of the strut is 2" forward of the mounting hole. Will this have any effect on the performance of the ski/carbides as the sleds weight will not be acting at the same point on the ski? Kind of a long winded question but I hope it makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's still putting all the weight of the front end in the middle of the ski. It will be fine.
Thanks. Figured I may have been over thinking things.
The rest looks pretty straight forward.

I've ran the Viper style skis and the early SRX Plastic skis both on my sled and haven't had a problem with either. Carbides wear well and the steering is just fine. Just make sure you get the rubbers in there. You may need to get them for a different machine to make them work. Mine are for an Exciter II SX.
