Does anyone know which coil in the generator powers the handwarmers? I have one that doesn't put out any juice. My heated face shield doesn't have any power feeding it either.
I usually ride this sled when I have company because nobody else will warm it up long enough to avoid cold seizure of the Wiseco's. It's very nice to have all the comforts available.
Sucks loaning out my SRX, last buddy rolled it (slowly, no damage) right in front of me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, John

Opps, should have stated it's a 90 Exciter.

U give up the srx and ride the exciter?? Tell them to warm it up. Damn, you're a nice guy.
No answer to the grips tho. Sorry.

Yeah, I know stupid. But that Exciter's family. There's chunks of my hands, and blood all over it. Had more good times on that sled than any other I've owned.
We were just bar hopping that night. Oh, and that guy could afford to replace it.

If you have lights you also will have juice to the handwarmers and so on.Lucky7 said:Does anyone know which coil in the generator powers the handwarmers?

They all take their power from the same coil.
They're aftermarket grips, and heated face shield. I stole power from a line that was hot. I thought it might be one of the smaller coils went bad.

check to make sure the end of the grips (normally non throttle side) isnt bend over the end of the handlebar
if so you likely broke the heater element inside and the circuit is dead.
Happened to my SRX and wifes Phazer...

No power at the line. I'm up for a few days hunting, maybe there'll be time to look it over.

will not happend on these sleds the grips slide up to the end of the bar
if you need a wiring diagram let me know should be the yellow or yellow balck as the source wire once you take the bar cover off is it a e start machine if so it can be a white wire too ............. or you have some thing hooked up wrong
