Working on a customers sled . SXR700 with PSI triple pipes. I'm assuming they are the "stockblaster" . The reeds are stock and the jetting still seems to be stock also from what i've found . :dunno:
145 pto, 143.8 mag and center . 45 pilots,screws 1 3/4.
didn't pull slides out

I'm guessing somebody just slapped this pipes on and didn't change a thing, so i'll assume stock porting, stock reeds, stock head gasket, etc..

No paperwork for the pipes and search function found a few old posts. Just need a little advise. Seems to run ok, if not a little lean at 1/4 throttle. Pto plug is a little darker/wetter than other 2. mag and center a little light but dome is carbboard box brown.
140 psi compression. Carbs cleaned. runs good other than a TORS switch issue I'm also addressing.

I would say you are better off with 147.5's across up to 150 mains...we are running 147.5's across on xtc 700 with triple pipes (SLP) if this helps. We found the 150's a little rich especially on warmer weather...but sure pulls nicely compared to stock and sounds sweet..good luck

the one post I found actually showed the psi pipes need to go DOWN in mains from stock on the sxr. Down to 142, but raising center and mag needles to #4, leaving pto on #3.
Just needs some reassurance..

Dad has SLP's on his MM 700. i have it set in about dead on @ 145, 145 and 147.5 (PTO). Needles are on setting 3. pilots at 45. fuel screw just a bit past 1.5 out. This works wonderfully at an altitude of 1300FT +
I would also make sure you are set up properly clutching wise. When we did dads we had to switch to WSW in the primary and a green @60* in the secondary and it pulls 8900/9k nicely through the entire range. All in all do your research, find out what works good for you because there are so many variables when it all comes down to it. Best of luck!
