I will be installing a new (used) track this week on my viper,
Is there any tips or anything I should know that would make it easier let me know.
It is a 1.25 ripsaw so I have to take the tunnel protector off and grind the front heat exchanger protector off.
I do know these skids fairly well; I've never changed a track
I was going to replace the jackshaft bearings aswell.
Oh and anyone need a stock track from a viper?
Thx in advance

Take some wd 40 and spray the speedo side bearing.Remove the set screws and spray in the holes and let it sit overnight.

If that track is not studded, I don't think you need to mess with the H/E gaurds.

From the reading on here most people say they rub.
And looking at it there isn't much room for a larger lug
So I don't wanna not do it and then find out I have too

Most guys leace the guards and exchanger protectors on and just clip the lugs down at the windows where the exchanger protectors are. I did this on my wifes viper when i had a 121 in it.

I got the old track out, took me about two and a half hours.
And I took the protectors off because i don't want to notch my track.
I don't plan on running studs anyway.
Now I am just waiting for the jackshaft bearings and then I'll throw it back together
