I've been reading up on clutching for my viper and I hear that a 53/43 helix and a green spring works good. But I had a thought... Bear with me now...
My dad just put a ulmer racing stage 3 clutch kit on his rx1 so I was wondering if I could use that helix. It is a 51/43. is that pretty much the same as a 53/43? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to clutching.. and he also has a white spring. the white spring has 51lb @ 2-1/4 load and 90lb @ 1-1/4 load. the green spring has 63lb @ 2-1/4 load and 91lb @ 1-1/4 load it doesnt seem like a big difference to me, is it? would this combo work almost as good as the 53/43 and green spring?

try it, just set the wrap a little tighter to compensate for the spring diff

there are a million ways to do things, the 53/43 helix with the green spring is just tried and true. Trial and error!

Thx for the replies everyone.
I'm going to try for sure, got nothing to lose.
If I do end up getting a 53/43 helix what brand of helix would any of u sudgest?
I hear some brands r better than others
