Hi guys ! Is there anyone who might have some information about Hauck pipes? I recently found out that there is two different producers for the Hauck pipes. Aaen and CPR, when did Hauck produce each of them? and why did they switch producer? Is there any difference in horsepower ? And does both fit with reverse and electric start ?

I consider to buy Hauck pipes from a guy who doesnt know which producer it is. I will post a picture of them here, and i hope someone could tell me.

I am going to build a really nice viper, with a lot of horsepower, so i need the best possible pipes which also fit reverse.

Just tell me all you know about those pipes, and i will be very pleased.

Which reeds is the best for the Viper ? Boyesen or Vforce 3 ? Anyone got a set up document for the Different Hauck pipes ?

I am really sorry if my English is bad. Thanks a lot guys ! :)

these are the CPR pipes. http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=82207 they are supposed to make more HP than the aaens. the aaens fit more neatly. If you look up mopar1rules in the member list I think the sled in his avatar has the aaens. couldnt tell you if the cprs work with e-start but I just put a set on a MT Viper with reverse. stock reeds are all you need. per mrvipers instructions for mine just spread the reed stoppers to 30mm between them and equal from side to side.

Thanks a lot. I am going to get my top, and cylinders ported. You know someone who is really good at viper porting ? There are guys i Norway too. I might contact Hauck, but ive heard they made a bad job on a 780 big bore from sweden, so i am wondering wheter or not I should. :) I am also planning to bore my carbs.

I will talk to mrviper as soon as I start my project. Collecting parts and information so far. Thanks a lot guys. "Staggs65", whats your viper set up ? aggressive or mild porting, pipes ?. :)

hauck doesnt make or has ever made pipes, they sold pipes with his name on it, however they were produced by cpr and then later aaen.

the early hauck pipes were the cprs and my favorite pipes, they build hp fast and are a excellant pipe. The later ones were the ones made by aaen for him, they are not nearly as good as the cpr pipes.

slp viper pipes are also very good performers and are the quietest pipes out there, the cprs have a bark to them with seprate silencers on each pipe, so if noise is a concern, you might want to look at the slp's

I think you can make any of the pipes fit but most times you need to relocate the battery and use a smaller gel cell battery as the stock one is just too big. There are some threads on this site from srxspec, he posted pics and part numbers showing the viper with slp pipes on it with reverse and electric start. youll have to search the post to find it.

when you get ready to mod the engine you have a few options, trail port, trail porting with more aggressive heads/compression and then lake race style which a ported case top is reccomeneded to take advantage of the bigger ported cylinders. Stock reeds work very well with the stops opened up. I can help you with any question when you get to that point.

Thanks a lot Don ? :) I will send you a mail here in the forum about further questions. It seems like you know a lot about this, and has a lot of experience / statisfied customers.

I guess my engine set up will look like this: CPR pipes, aggressive trail ported heads and cylinders, carb overbores. And a couple of more details.. I hope the sled still will be reliable and safe. I am going to go dyno with it. New pistons, (wiseco?) with rings and full bottom engine service also of course.

Thanks a lot to you, I am really happy and thankful for all your answers. :)
