Transfer rod help

I bought a set of adjustable transfer rods last season and in the middle of installing them as I type this. They came with a thick about 12mm washer. Do I put that one on top or the bottom? The other washer is only about as thick as a reg steel washer. Thanks


They look just like this brand. I found this picture but dont know if its right.

usually a 2-4 mm washer goes on bottom end.

O.k. Well i tried putting the thicker washer on the bottom and it wont fit. Its a wide tapered washer that wont fit in the lower bracket. So I guess it stays on top. Then that leaves me with a 5 or 2.5 mm for the bottom.
