Hey guys, im putting in a new piston and cyl on my 1998 srx 700 and i noticed the pin is thicker then the other 2 stock ones.
I weighed the others and it 27grams more then the stock piston pins, and the piston is the same as the stock pistons in weight!
So now this will be out of balance by a lot, is this gonna be a problem or what?
This is my issue, should i go and buy a new stock piston pin or will it be fine to run with a heavy piston pin on that cyl. ?

Are you using an OEM piston?? I would not use a Wiscoe at all due to differant heat cycles. Locate an OEM pin at least
Pins
I believe the lighter, thinner ones that were in your sled are Weisco's. The thicker ones are OEM. It is a common mod for guys to go to the Weisco's to eliminate that weight and make the engine rev more quickly. You don't want to mix & match. Just use 3 pins that are the same weight. Why cant you put it back together with the lighter pin that must have come out of that cyliner you are replacing???? Was the pin trashed?
