Hi Guys,

I just wanted to get clarification on this before I started with the kit install.

I've read over super1c's great write-up here for the electric start install, as well as the PDF's in the tech section.

The wiring behind the footwell that connects to the starter relay on top of the battery cover has been located, however, what 3 wires - the red, red/white, and black wires, attach to what 4 posts on the relay itself? See photo below:

Am I missing a wire here to connect the relay to the footwell wiring, or do I have to fab-up wires to connect with the relay posts, and if so, which connects to what posts?

Thanks,
-Mark

After closer examination of super1c's photo on his write-up, it definitely looks like I'm missing a harness that plugs into the starter relay.

Not a big deal, I can make the harness myself, just need to know what wires from behind the footwell attach to what posts on the relay.

Thanks,
-Mark

If I didn't think I might sell the harness some day, I would have cut that off the er harness I had.
feel free to call if you have a question, I usually have my phone on.

That sub lead is on eBay for 10 bucks. It's a sub lead wire. My .02 just buy the harness and then it's plug and play... Did you get a fuse box as well?

Thanks, Scott! No worries - I wouldn't ask you to cut up a whole harness just for a few wires that I can make on my own ;)!

Found it on ebay. No fuse box, however I'm going to wire them in-line as advised.

I've got a fuse box if you want it... It's NOS... I could probably get it to you by the weekend... Bummer about the lead wire, I just checked myself... Not listed anymore. If not port Yamaha has them. That's where I got it from... $20 IIRC. I just put estart on my viper S as well. Goes really quick with the fuse box and lead wire...
