Can I use the floats out of a 99 SX 600 in a 03 Viper? The part numbers are different but they seem to fit okay and the float heights look good. The Viper takes 8EK-14185-00-00 and the SX 600 takes 1UY-14185-00-00.

The SX float is quite a bit smaller width wise. The Viper float takes up more room in the bowl but I measured everything and it appears the same distance wise. I set float heights and I think it will work.
I would not. The 600 tripple is the odd motor that uses a smaller carb. they are 31 mm carbs. It is an unknown to say they would use the same float. especially if they changed the model number within the part number. Though you could be the guinea pig and let us know how it worked out.
My 00 Srx 700 calls for the same float number as the sx600 does so I think I should be alright using on the 02 viper.
