Any one know why the Viper S Guide wheel assembly 8EK-47550-20-00 are so damn expensive? Price is $71.99 each, so for 4 I am looking at $280.
Other years ProActions have the same part for $17..what makes the '04 wheels so special? Can I substitute with another years ProAction?
Thanks!

I would. As far as I know the shaft diameters are all the same. Alot of the viper wheels have the bearings molded in the wheels while the srx are replaceable for $8 or so.

They are the ones with the molded in non replaceable bearings. You can use the regualr Yamaha Large rear axle wheels. They are the same except they have a snap ring holding in the bearing. Buy those then you can replace or service your bearings regularly.
So..get the guide wheels of say..an 02 SRX?
So I should look for these wheels on what skid? 02 SRX?

I replaced my outers in the rear to match the new one I put on the rails (Red and black) If you look up and other proaction (Yes SRX) you will see the wheels are like 17.50 a piece, they will work. Your inner real axle wheels should be the same with the replaceable bearings its only the outer rear axle wheels the are the expensive molded in bearing kind. If you look under accessories for Yamaha at an online Yamaha dealer there are several different color wheels you can get. (I.e. red/ blk, blue/blk/ silver/ black.) They add a nice look.
I can send you some pics if youlike. pm your email. I have 2 with red/blk wheels one with yellow /black wheels and one with silver/ black wheels.
