Well I thought today would be the day. After last years having our trail system open for less than 5 hours, I though the 12 inches on the ground today would have had the groomers out, and trails open. No such luck. Trails open 20 miles to the north, 20 miles to the south, we have more snow, but no action. Long story short Im done with this club, my dues will be spent elsewhere from this day forward...
Any reasoning on why they haven't opened them ?

Trails in Dane county are open, don't know where you're at though, just relaying the info.

Yeah that's weird. Our club opens the trails on the 20th as long as there's 4 in of snow...
the state own most of the trails we ride where I live in pa.
they open jan 1st even if we have a foot on the ground in dec

$45, I put enough miles in that it ALMOST worth it, the girlfreind put a whopping 75 miles on her sled last year....Fortunately wind sheilds are interchangable and I was able to move them around to the 4 sleds I ride. Couple of my buddys buy them from the local snowmobile club, they have a policy if you dont use them you can return them.....They put them in their pocket in case they get pulled over and plan on saying they forgot and HOPE to get out of the ticket.

Well here in ny we got a inch today then rain! we have to pay $45 for regestation and $35 for a club but that's it! The only place in ny were you have to pay to ride in in old forge and that's only $80 per sled! I guess we get off easy!

is it a landowner permission thing I wonder? I groom trails and you want it packed down before grooming right after a storm, but that means sled traffic. or have the drag up high enough so only the rear blades barely touch and the plate (rear packing plate) is doing all the work
