I have an 02 viper 700. Just cleaned carbs and power valves in prep for snow, put everything back together and now its harder to start, when it does start, it jumps to the tors mode and bounces at the 2800-3k range. I am pretty positive it would be easy to notice if I did not hook something up. Would disconnecting the throttle cable and reconnecting it make something go haywire?
Throttle cable is too tight. Make sure you have some slack in the cable.

X2...not sure about the viper but my SRX's you NEED more than you would think, like be able to move the cable side to side at the carbs like 3-4 milimeter or more. Back it off and let us know.SRX_700 said:Throttle cable is too tight. Make sure you have some slack in the cable.

Kind of nice when you have that "GREAT...WTF is wrong with it now?" moment and its something simple to fix.
