Awesome video!! I've personally seen avalanches before basically in my backyard. The dangers are real even in the flatlands. The slope I saw an avalanche on wasn't even as steep as that. It's amazing what a big snow dump can do.
These first 2 photos are of an avalanche that we found. The 2nd picture is of my dad who is about 6' tall standing next to some of the snow chunks.
And these 2 pictures are an avalanche that my uncle caused. As you can see in the first pic, on the left of of the image there is a snowmobile track going up the hill, and that is what triggered the avalanched. The dangers are real.
