I have a new problem with my 01 srx! Thought it was good until I was adjusting my power valves before going up north to ride. When adjusting them I seen one of my overflow tubes spewing fuel. If I shut it off and restart it it stops for a few seconds and then spews again. I have had everything apart 3 times now and do not wish to do it before I leave again. Does this sound like a sticky float? I did clean the carbs already but did not touch the floats. Will there be a chance it will clear out and stop once I start riding it? Kinda frustrated since I was all ready to load it when the power valves were adjusted. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

For the fuel bowl vents to spew fuel the float has to be allowing too high of a fuel level in the float bowl.
This can be caused by:
-float out of adjstment
-foreign object or dirt in needle and seat
-damaged or dried out float needle
-damaged float or bent float arm
-stuck float
-ice in float bowl
The good news is an overfilling fuel bowl will not cause the engine to lean out
The bad news is fuel leaking anywhere is a real FIRE HAZARD!
IMO: Take it apart and solve the problem before riding

Try removing the carbs, draining the gas out by the mainjet cap, then lightly shake the carb rack up and down, you should hear the floats bouncing in each carb, (clicking sound). Whichever carb isn't clicking, has stuck the float.
Something to check whenever you've have a carb apart.
