Noticed my thumb gets tired before others. Thought it may have just been me. Then after riding a dozen sled or so. none were as stiff as my 97 600 twins. No binding, Cannot figure out a way to tweak spring for less tension. Any ideas would be great. Searching I found others use rubberbands?

Is the spring lubed up?Try pivoting your throttle up or down. Maybe just changing the angle will help out. They also make these things called "throttle flare" or something like that. You mount it onto your throttle lever and it allows you to alter your grip. Dennis Kirk or any other retailer will have them.

My wife's thumb used to swell up because the throttle was too stiff. 2001 SX500R. Pull the carbs apart so you can access the throttle return spring, when you put the return spring back on, don't wind it up so much. You need enough pressure to close the butterflies and activate the Tors switch. Also did this to a 600 Fusion. After that she could ride all day/weekend.
