I have an extra Boss seat for a Viper/Sxr. I would like to get it installed onto the Phazer II. I just can't find a great way to mount it. Has anyone else tried this????
How does the front of the viper seat mount to the machine? I have a '97+ VMax seat on my XLV. All I did for that one was re-drill the bolt holes for the back of the seat where I wanted them in the tunnel, then the front is attached with large flange rivets where the snaps were. I covered the rest of the tank that was exposed with thin rubber from a tractor tire tube, cut to follow the plastic trim. That is riveted on as well with 1/8 aluminum rivets. Thats impossible. You should just sell me that BOSS seat for my Viper....lol...
Boss seats are an investments. I remember the cost of our originals were $375 shipped, now $525 shipped. The nearly exact same seat. Oh well they are worth it!. The Boss seat has a strap and flange which goes all the way to the fuel fill level in height. The middle is attachted with snaps and the rear is with velcro. We also install a custom tail light mount which is then through bolted through the rear storage pocket.
