I pumped out last seasons gas out of my viper. Cleaned carbs for the second time before my season has even started now. My question is (1) do I need to flush the old fuel out of the lines and fuel pump? (2) is it a good idea to put it a in line fuel shut off? (3) does anyone use an inline fuel filter on there sleds would it even help at all?

I've never flushed the lines out, just clean carbs, get rid of old fuel and put in fresh and good to go. This routine has worked fine for me for years. I don't think you need an inline fuel filter, the one in the tank is sufficient.

X2 on what he said. I have ben thinking about putting a 3 way valve in for a while now (on/off/drain) My srx's have an elbow in the fuel line that I hook up my "redneck fogging solution" Gas with LOTS of ATF, running this while hosing the fogging oil to carbs to kill engine. Less fuel = less crap to clean out of carbs. Powervalves soaked in ATF and fogging oil almost wipe clean with a paper towel.
