Gp338


In 1970 Yamaha Came out with the SS338 and the SS396. Those motors had finger ports and twin Expansion Chamber exhaust with Dual Carbs. In 1971 Yamaha Dropped the SS338. 1972 No Gp338. 1973 the GP338 is back with can exhaust and again with twin carbs. Some Customers complained of poor performance so Yamaha Had a Update kit to change over to single Carb. 1974 Yamaha redesigned the GP338 and Added a Slide suspension,same in 1975. In 1976 Yamaha Renamed the GP338 and called it GS340,same as the 1977 Model. By 1978 The Enticer had taken over and the GP was gone for Good.
