Heated helmet

Hey Guys,
89 Exciter.Wife and kids got me a heated helmet visor for Xmas. Where should I wire this thing? It came with the wire but no directions. Guy at shop told my wife to hook to battery. Not electric start, though. Can I hook to grips? Red wire and black wire in helmet hookup. Thanks!!

on the newer sleds most guys use the tail light wire.

I hook mine to the battery on a circut breaker but the tail light is a good choice.

Any idea what color wire I am looking for ? I could pull the seat but thought someone might know. The orange from my harness goes to what and the black is a ground?

i have an srx 700 hooked it up to hi low beam swich ground to handle bars.also i hooked one up to 78 exciter hooked it into voltage regulator and grounded it to ground on regulator .
