I just spent 8 hours in the garage installing the engine of a Viper after a crank rebuild. I am almost done. I need to figure out the cables. I bought this thing in pieces, and have never seen under the hood of another viper. This is my problem:
1. I dont see where the oil pump cable goes into the thumb throttle.
2. My throttle cable splits into two cables, where does the other go?

I'm starting to think the other cable should go to the oil pump. However the oil pump on the case I got with the sled already had a cable on it(long enough to go to the throttle), thats why I assumed it was the proper cable. Can somone help clear this up?

I was just out working my viper and the throttle and oil pump cables definitely both go to the thumb throttle. Not sure what the split cable setup is you explained. Was it for some bar risers maybe?

The 04 vipers had one cable from throttle that splits into 2. One to carb the other to oil pump. The long cable you have on your pump is from 02/03 viper that uses 2 seperate cables. One for throttle one for oil. Use the the one to two cable that is already attached to your viper throttle. This is correct.

You are right super mine is an 03. I haven't seen an 04 and it verry well could be the two into one cable you speak of.

Thanks Super1c! I posted on here as a last resource. I looked in my manual and online and couldnt make sense of it. Thank you both for your input late at night. It saved me from having Viper nightmares! ;)!
