I recently went up north with my 01 srx I just bought and loved it. Only flaw i felt was in the bumps. Rode my buddies polaris with a M10 and loved the suspension. Wondering should i put a sxr suspension in it? a M10? or mabey even a venture suspension to make a 136 conversion.

the sxr suspension will be disappointing to you compared to your buddies m10. The m10 will scrub some mph off the top end but can be lessened with larger rear wheels. You dont need the complete sxr suspension, just the shocks, t-rods, and maybe some other parts you'd have to search that but all that info is here

In my opinion the SxR skid isnt all that much better than the one in your SRX. If your going to do the work might as well be worth it right? Viperking has some long traveled 136 skidsas well as I remeber I recent add in parts section for a fast M10, if memory serves it was new or near new and was looking for $675. Found an older add on craigslist http://nmi.craigslist.org/rvs/3396545835.html
Dont know the guy any way shape or form but $675 for new looking versus $650 for old looking aint much of a debate. Guess it all depends on what those mounting plates go for.

You will probably want to long travel the front to match. I think betheviper still sells the brackets to use Viper shocks on a SRX. I used to make them too but sold my last set a while back and I'm not interested in making any more. you need to use SXR/venture radius rods/tierods and make a spacer for the swaybar as well.
