How the heck do you find out a yr for this sled? yamaha et-340just bought it today the guy was not sure of yr, he bought from someone else ?runs darn good though
Read the first 3 digits of the VIN (stamped in the tunnel on the right side). Then either look in the manual, somewhere on here, or simply post and we can respond.

i think i found the yr the vin starts out 8r3 , so im guessing its yr 83?

it's usually not that easy. my bravo wasnt the year that the vin starts with. i thought the same thing. there are guys here that have the charts. someone will surely post up the year for you
