Drop brackets for my 99 vmax 500 sx

I made drop brackets and lifted my sled 3" and I was wondering if should loosen the tension on my track. I'm new to snowmobiling and don't know much about how it all works yet! Any input would be appreciated!

I would definitely check the tension.

When you installed the drop bracket for your skid, did you also drop the center mounting position down (approx. half the distance of the rear drop). You need to keep the geometry of the suspension the same. That said, yes it would also be a good idea to check the tension on your track.
