Getting my new Provider hook me up tomorrow. Was wandering what you guys are using for size of transfer rates.Originally I was at 10GB which was to samll.I can go to 25 GB for $5 more or 35 GB for $20 more.I would like to get Netflex and was thinking the larger transfer would be better.I don't want to go over on a smaller plan and end up paying extra every month. What are you guys using and how is it working out for you??

about how much data you use per month. On my last Bill with my other provider they nailed for for an extra 17GB of usage.Still want to know what you guys use as an average per month and what speeds are you getting also.I know by what some have told me 2.5mbps is good for Netflex..but how many GB is good if I stream a lot ob movies.

I have unlimited so I never keep track, I will go check bill and see if they do. Will report back. Are they wanting to "lock you in" so to speek? if not go big and can alway turn it back down.

no lock down.I could start smaller and see what happens..if I go over I could also call them to go next level I guess. Will ask the guy tomorrow what he would suggest...maybe he will be honest enough to tell me and not sell more for the company..

Be sure to read the fine print. I have heard of some providers who will begin to limit your speed if you approach your data usage limit.

We have unlimited as well, however I can tell you for certain that 1 movie per night on the Roku box or Netflix will use up a lot of data.

got the new Provider in and all hooked up.They tell me they really don't monitor to much,if we go over 1 or 2 GB they won't do anything. But if they do a random check and see I am using like 20GB more ..they will alert me.

I'm not sure how much streaming video through Netflix will use, but with that said I basically have a "Cloud" in my house. Also known as a Network Attached Storage, where I store all my DVDs at.

So for comparsion, 1 DVD takes 5-8GB of space to store, so I'm going out on a limb and going to say it may take that much to stream through Netflix as well. We also have unlimited internet usage through our provider.

was told about a Gig an hour for streaming. I mean depends on how much you watch TV or movies.I am hardly sitting at a TV..in the summer basically don't care as I am always out in the yard doing something till late.My wife basically watch's TV and movies.I enjoy the WWE sometimes,American Idle and the odd detective type of shows. But some days I am not even close to the TV..so probably will check Netflex out.if everything on there is older movies, then I won't be pushing the Gigs.

Look for a plan that has a cap around 80-100 Gigs/mnth. If you stay away from the Big Companies like Bell and Rogers, you can get unlimited or pretty high cap and decent speeds. I am not sure how would be available in your Area, but TekSavvy here in Ontario has good plans.

Can check and see if they are available in your neck of the woods
