So finally have enough snow to start the SRX and ride in a few fields. All trails are still closed. I took the plugs out, pulled it over 10 times, put them back in and 20 pulls later, still no start. Pulle plugs again and poured fuel down jugs. Started right away but then stalled. Repeated procedure and then it started. Tank was drained in the spring due to fuel sender replacement. Idled low so I check the heat on the pipes. Mag cyclinder was cold so I checked for spark. It had sparked so I took the carb off to clean. Mag carb pilot was clogged with some fiberous material. #2 and #3 were partially clogged. Cleaned everything except for needle seat and filter hat as spring punch was at home. Put it all back together, primed carbs etc. and started right up. Runs strong now.

I take everything back about good fuel in Ontario. Because Mikuni made the friggin pilot holes so small, they have to be cleaned every year. I also had a green slime around the bowl gaskets on all 3 carbs. Looks like gas was going bad in the bowls.

^^Agreed. The green slime was probably from ethanol. This winter, I just pulled the bowls off of my sled and sprayed everything good. I put it back together and thought no prob. Then I read a thread on here about a guy finding clogged pilots. Feeling convicted, I pulled off my carbs again and totally went thru them. Guess what? All 3 were clogged with that same green stuff. Catastrophe averted! Always gotta clean no matter what now.
