I have 8dn 20s with 4.5 rivits in both holes 51/43 helix with a www primary spring and green secondary spring could this be my gearing? any sugestions if so thanks alot!

Is this a new setup your trying out or was this working for you before and you lost rpm? On a long pull will rpm go up alittle or stay a 8 all day? I'm no clutching expert but someone will chime in here soon, just trying to get full picture for them. If this setup was working before, check pv's for pull thru.

my gearing is 22 39 and no this is a new setup but even my old setup i couldn't get 8500 thanks alot guys

wow, with that gearing it should over rev possibly, so you must be down on power then. I think you need to look into the powervalves, sounds like ones pulled thru or you need to clean and adjust them, 8000 is max when they are pulled thru.

thank you so much. im about 280 pounds what is a good gearing for it to work properly? also tomoro ill clean my power valves and adjust them and look for a pullthru.

no pull threw cables are not snapped either they were gummed up and stuck... I'm unexperienced thanks for your info guys,

use the information on this site to adjust them now, once stuck usually the cables will be stretched a bit and require readjustment, then youll feel some power!

ur not gonna believe what happened!!! yesterday my middle piston melted down carb boot wasn't on properly snow was packed all around it, so I'm gonna do a topend rebuild, I have to put a new cylinder on too, i have one thank god. hoping to have it done by the weekend and yes mr viper i can't wait to finally have valves working right to feel the power! using this site is going to make my sled well ,maintained and working top notch thank you so much everyone on this site!

Getting things back to the way they should be is alot of the battle. Once everything is cleaned, adjusted, and up to spec, maintenance will not be so much a chore. Many people gas, oil and go. Half the time they do not even know things aren't the way they should be. Good luck, take your time and be thorough. Don't be afraid to ask questions, there are literally a thousand of years of experience here to help you out.
