Just a little background info. I had bought the 53/43 helix and green secondary spring two seasons ago from Pioneer everything else stock with the spring wrapped at 70*.The sled certainly had more snap to it but I was still over-revving to 9,000-9100 rpm's.
Before the start of this season I installed 4.5 gram weights into each tip and kept the secondary spring wrapped to 70. Anyway, finally got to go out last night for some decent speed runs. What a difference with the weights in there! Peg the throttle and tach goes right to 8400 and climbed to 8500 till I ran out of room. Huge difference in acceleration!
I know there are faster combos out there, but for the money I am impressed!

Would this set up wear the belt any quicker? I really want to try this setup but
My father put a ulmer stage three clutch kit in his rx1 and he blew two belts in 800km or so and didn't blow any before the clutch kit was installed. And I don't want to be blowing $80 belts constantly
Thx
