I have a 77 Sno Jet SST with a Mikuni carb...sled was bogging out at higher speeds, almost like getting to much gas...took carb off, cleaned it and although there is way more bottom end jump since the cleaning, top end stills boggs at times but will then kick in....I was then told that my bottom of my carb has a Dail a Jet add on to it...there is a white plastic screw at the bottom of the carb plus a small hose running up to the body of the carb...was told the original carb has set jets so that is why we are thinking its an add on.... ....anyone know how these work or what a normal setting is on them?..Thanks

pics? is this a "dial-a-jet" (hose from float bowl goes to a delivery nozzle in the inlet of the carb) like shown here:http://www.thunderproducts.com/dial_a_jet.htm

OR
is this standard "adjustable main jet" which usually gives you ~8 main jet sizes for easier temp and altitude tuning of TOP END fueling.

If you can measure the inside and outside diameter of the carb outlet (engine side) we can maybe figure out what size VM carb you have
