just wondering if anyone has ever tryed to do this before. I dont wanna put any more $$$ into my MM and trying to get the rest of the winter out of her but right now 2 of my hydraulic shocks are froze solid. its -42*C out there lol. my plan was to drill a small hole in the bottom of the shock after its been thawed out and drain all the old fluid out then fill it with new hydraulic fluid then weld the hole over. I know the seals are probably shot. theres 35,000 km on them. Im just sick of putting money into this machine and im trying to get something new this summer. anyone hear of this little trick before?

Don't do that, you could end up getting hurt. If your shock are non-rebuildable they'll just need to be replaced. Otherwise it takes special equipment to rebuild shocks. I'd look for some used ones in the classified section or call Pioneer as he usually has a nice selection of new and used shocks at good prices as well.
