I have a 1997 vmax 700. I had a piece of plastic brake off of my air box and lodge in the carb near the brake and shut the sled off instantly. After removing the plastic piece and cleaning the carbs throughly, cant get more the 20 mph out of the sled. I disconnected the T.O.R.S and plugged it into its self and no change in performace. I did a compression test and have any where between 145 and 149 psi across all cylinders. Any ideas would help greatly.

Are the reeds still ok?
Yes the reeds are ok. The plastic piece was actually stuck in the carb had to brake it to grt it out.
Thanks for the help everyone i really appreciated it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I found the problem and fixed it myself.
