I have a Bravo that I've modified to go in deep back county areas. I changed the drivers & installed an inch & a 1/4 predator track (121") I installed a phazer ll rear skid & made a tunnel extension/rear bumper/chainsaw holder! The clutching on these babies isn't very tunable! I pulled the engine & modified the engine plate just to adjust my belt deflection. My clutches are in good shape but I slip the primary around 10 mph sometimes?(black slip marks) My primary is the early style ramp type(89) I was wondering if the 91 & up weight clutch would be a better (adjustable) option? Anyone played w/ Bravo clutching? I have some enticer 300/340 primaries also?

Solved my problem- tried a different Bravo primary, same condition. Looked at a new 2010 Bravo long track & noticed it had a different belt? did some research- found the new 89x belt to be wider & longer than the 820 belt I was running. I had a 89x belt off an enticer laying around, threw it on- Bam! Works like it should! Now I'll buy a brand new 89x & save the other for a spare! Engagement is much smoother & you can really notice the primary pulling the sled forward instead of slipping. Especially at those critical lower speeds when you are picking your way through the woods.

I went and re-read the the directions on how to....I think I FIANLLY figured it out! Left click on the "image code" the text will go away and then say "copied" When you then paste it shows up as text until you hit enter.

future plans include: wide plastic skis, (and remain leaf) different bars,( a little taller) pull out front grab bar,(stock is barely useable!) & a few more things I have in mind. I need some snow to go test & enjoy!

Awesome Job! I really like the way it sits , that extra suspension travel and height must really help improve the ride.

A quick question on the track change; what did you use for drivers? I am considering a similar mod with a long track.

Thanks, Brian

I just love seeing "mountain" and "Bravo" in the same thought! lol. I'm glad someone brought this thread back up cause I never saw the pics last time. Every year at the end of the season when there's no riding left for the big sleds me and my buddies go hit the woods on our kids machines. I'm always on the kids Bravo. I have a blast on that thing:D Last year I cracked it up though so I got banned from taking it:( :o|. I'm going to build a Phazer now for our annual outage.

did similar years ago with the 83 enticer. long tracked it to 121 and boy what a difference. used a skid from a mid 80's srv and a 94 vmax track. what a rocket!

i made spacers to raise the front end between the spindles and the leafs and adapted plastic ski skins off the 95 vmax. way cheaper than adapting aftermarket plastic skis. still have that old girl, rode it last weekend around town hauling the kids on sleds and snowboards. she needs some adjustments.

br2an: royal distributing has the drivers for the swap to 2.52, last i knew.

that thing is pretty dang neat lookin, I like the strap on the flap so it cant get pulled into the track, i may have to do this to my phazer build

sled on!

Looks pretty cool! I'm doing a 121 on my 340 right now. I made rail extensions instead of a 121 skid though. Cost $20 for steel and hardware...
