i finally got my 97 700sx running good, (after my magneto episode!), and have a few questions about clutching. it is a fresh engine (130 psi), bender piped with 150 mains, 52.5 pilots, reed notch, spacers, cut skirts, cleaned up ports (casting ridges), 1 layer removed on the head gasket, carbon tech ht reeds, 89l primary weights (2.4 rivot) with y-g-y spring, secondary is 51/45, stock gearing, green spring, 14.5 rollers (i also have 15's). 1.25 inch camo track.
it seems to engage around 4000-4200 and revs to about 8500 rpm and i am wondering if this is were it should be? any idea of what the top end should be, how would the stock 8ch weights work with this sled? any other weights that you guys would recommend? i run ditches, trails and lakes so top end would be a bonus for the lake runs with the doo 800's my buddies have.
