Been thinking about modifying the exhaust on my 97 VMAX 600. I just want it to stand out a little more then it does with the stock exhaust. The motor has been rebuilt and at the time of the rebuild I was told an aftermarket exhaust would ruin the longevity of the motor so I pretty much stopped thinking about it. Can anyone back this logic up? It makes sense when you start changing the back-pressure on the motor but how much of an effect would this have? Have any of you found that rumble that sets you apart from every one else?

Longevity? i got almost 20000 miles on my 97sx with slp triple pipes...hows that for longevity?

Not saying agreed with what I was told... Simply asking a question. Also, that is very impressive longevity yammy
