I had a buddy remove the electric start from his viper and now the gauge resets since the battery isn't connected anymore. Does the harness just need to be grounded, or what needs to be done to get the gauge back to normal?
this is common, you need to wire in a couple smoothing coils to the red and black wires that went to his relay. The battery absorbs voltage spikes. or you could swap out the harness and have the correct plug ins. I would guess you have a few harnesses around since they rarely sell.
