hello fellow 2 stroke smokers,

alright i have a 91 phazer ST with the following mods done to it:
srv 540 engine fabed in and fits under hood!
slightly moidified srv stock pipe(just enough to fit under hood)
regeared w/ 16/35 gears
bout a 1" track w/106 studs just down the middle
k/n air filter (due to no room for stock box)
rejetted carb
boyseen reeds
comet 108c clutch
thundershift adjustable flyweights
95 vmax rev. secondary clutch w/pink spring (came w/clutch)

along with many other custom mods to shock, skid, seat, taillamp, handlebars, frt. suspension

anyways im lookn for4 thoughts on clutching and gearing,
test runs have proven im close to what i want for performance out of clutch but just not there yet.
sled seems to fall off curve as it just shifts out into overdrive.
i have it slightly over-revving to bout 7800 rpms due to some porting and reeds. the engine does not fall off pwr. curve, infact it would handle more if i gave it to her. engages at bout 4000-4200rpms.perfect i think. i'm a ture boondocker at heart, dont care bout top spd.,just that it will carry the ski out of a corner. i have secondary set at its weakest setting w/pink spring, shifts back very nicely. The primary weights are set to 51grams and comet gold spring in installed. clutch has been shimmed to fit a 1 5/16 wide belt. will be changed to fit 1 3/8 after this season. shimmed to use a belt that fits the newer sec. clutch properly. i'm very happy with over all performance, but like i stated before it seems to fall curve when shifting into overdrive. engine rpms dont not fall, just shift spd.

any one out there experinced enough out there to suggest any changes that should be/have to b done to resolve this concern? i would extremely greatfull to any worth while advice. thanks,

the new guy here :)
Tony

Gearing Is Too Low To Start If It Is Falling Off On The Top Then The Tip Of The Weights Are Too Heavy ...........how Far Is It Falling Off At The Top ...........
