Does anybody do the "float"method on the secondary clutch to align the clutches? I know it is the best way to align clutches on F7s, not sure about SRX's. You run the sled on a stand at lower slow speeds with the secondary clutch bolt loose, and no shims behind the clutch, and see where the secondary settles out. Then you measure and add or remove shims as necessary. I was going to try this method and get rid of the free play in the secondary clutch. What do you guys think? I don't have an alignment bar btw.

I have the $20 alignment tool and let the secondary float. If your engine is 3-4 degrees out of whack the method you describe wont address that.
