Hi guys,

Im new to the site and I have an 01 SRX.
Im setting it up for 660Ft snow drags this weekend.

Yesterday the setup I have been working on lately (8bu) was working great but this was on a very well packed test track.

This morning i went out and and there was about 8 Inches of fresh powder.

My RPM`s are suddenly irratic (anywhere from 7400 - 8500) under load and after each test run it seems to fluctuate more and more.

I understand that there is a big difference between running on a hard or soft track but i have never seen this kind of a reaction.

Im guessing that im getting belt slip due to snow on the clutches ( Sealing up the undercarriage tomorrow morning because it was missing a few rivets)
Any other ideas??

Thanks

:dunno:

it look like the secondary shift way to fast in fresh powder ...better increase the wrap

Thanks for the quick responses guys.

Its going to be -25 C tonight so the powder issue through the vents should be eliminated tomorrow since i now have the track well packed. (Ill also add the rivets to the bellypan)

If that doesnt seem to solve it i will definately try increasing the wrap

Ill update ASAP

End result i had a problem with the wiring harness ( fixed now) and it was screwing with my rpm guage... have any of you guys ever seen the wiring harness cause firing problems aswell because my sled "died" on me and backfired a few times mid track during one of the races and then "came back to life"...
