Till now my former 700 Doo twin was the most responsive sled I have owned.
Last year I ran a SxR 600 with Hauck pipes. The 600 was fast but it had a slight bog when I would grab a handfull. The carbs were clean, and short of going up a size with the pilot jets I had adjusted the air screw as much as I could.
Even my 98 Srx 700 wasnt super quick to rev. That was probably my fault for not cleaning the carbs or adjusting the powervalves.
I have been restoring a 04 Viper S over in the Working Log section. I bought it with a bad crank and a gazillion miles. Over the past few months, with help from both threads and users, I have fixed her up. I raised the needles per MrVipers recommendation to fix the lean mid throttle spot, went 2 turns out with the air screws, and adjusted my power valves.
Now when it is running on the stand there is virtually no bog from idle, NICE! I guess those powervalves are the ticket! Now all I need is some clutching work!

good to hear, a little bit of clutch work in a viper and they will run pretty good, they are kinda sneaky fast, very quiet. They wont have any problem running with newer sleds in the trails.
