Check out this thread. I just got done with this on my brothers '88 Phazer. We went with a 121x1 and wow....its great. I personally don't see the need for 1 1/2" on a 480 fanner as light as the Phazer but to each their own. You would be into dropping a tooth on the drivers, some gearing in the chain drive and maybe some clutching. Others may disagree....its the net!
Edit: I see you are in Cali so maybe a Mtn Phazer would call for a bigger track....
