Any and all would be appreciated.
Here's the deal...
I sold my 1986 Jeep Comanche pickup with a factory 2.1 Renault diesel to a guy on Long Island New York. It's a pile but runs and drives. One of the rarest Jeeps ever made and if there is more that 2 like it in this country I'd be surprised. It's a resto project and now he needs to get it home.
It will cost him $500 for shipping from a terminal Milwaukee WI to a terminal in New Jersey along with a bunch of headaches.
He is also buying an extra (new) engine for it from me and would want it shipped seperately as he's afraid it would be stolen out of the back of the truck during the trip. Shipping for it will cost him more $$$.
So the question is does anyone know or know of anyone who is or would be heading to the New York City area and have room on a trailer to haul it??
It's not a big or heavy truck and there is probably at least $700 in the deal to get it from here to someplace close enough for him to pick it up. If someone was heading that way in the near future and had room on a trailer they could pay for the trip and more. It's not a big or heavy truck. About the same as an S-10 or Ranger from the same era.
Any other ideas???
Thanks, Phil (opsled)
