I have a 01 SRX 700. The last ride I took I noticed coolant leaking on the trail. Fortunetly it was a small leak and I was able to limp it back. Long story short I found the leak. It is in the hose that goes from the heat rail on the top of the engine strait down behind the engine to somewhere in the belly pan. I took the air box and carbs out so I could see where it goes but I couldn't see past about the middle of the hose. what do I need to do in order to get at the hose? I bought the hose but after seeing the situation I tried to splice it. It seems to work but I'm just not comfortable with it. Please tell me I don't need to pull the engine. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Ron. Guess i'll make this a summer fix then. I bought a hose splice connector and some clamps and reconnected it again. I feel alot more comfortable with an actual hose splice connector rather than a piece of pvc like my original fix. Thanks for the help.
