Do I need to install front and rear spacers in the tunnel before I mount the pro x in my viper? If so how thick do they need to be and how big? I have 3/8 inch flat steel about 4 inches square. Will this work or do I need to go thinner?

The best thing to do is measure the width of the pro x shafts and compare that to the width of the proaction shafts.

I just put an Edge skid in my Viper and had to add an 1/8" to each side on the front. I used my old front brackets and then sandwhiched a piece of 1/8" alluminum between them and the tunnel. The rear was the same width as stock. You can measure your old skid's shaft and compare it to the ProX to be sure but it should be the same as the Edge as I believe they are interchangable.

I had to figure out this the hard way. I have an 04 pro x skid in my viper, I believe the pro x shaft is 1/2 inch narrower in the rear. The front shaft i just moved one of the plates in the tunnel, and mounted it up, however the back mount, i added 1/4inch to each side, so far so good, if you don't narrow up the tunnel enough you will see the torque brackets on the skid start "walking" off the shaft. Best of luck
