Bought 2 sleds, can't figure out years

Ok guys, I just bought 2 used sleds, a Venture XL, and an Enticer II, from a local individual. The guy I got them from said he didn't know the years of them, so he guessed when giving me a bill of sale.

The Venture XL has a VIN of 8AN-000247.
The Enticer II has a VIN of 89X-000594.

I have spent hours searching the Internet for this information, and can't find anything. Then I stumbled onto this web site. Can anyone help me with figuring out what years these machines actually are.

I am trying to get them registered with Parks & Rec here in Colorado, and they need the year of both for the paperwork.

What is the date of manufacture? If it is say made in 96, its a 97 model.

That don't work on a Yamaha. Vin #'s don't have build date info in them.
