What is the best way to mount the seat securely and what to do about the bolts that stick up through top of tunnel? Had one on my sx and that was a breeze to mount.
I removed the studs from the tunnel. Easy to grind off the rivet from the under side. The Velcro holds increadibly well, but if you want an even more secure mounting, I used a "push in light holder". This is a tail light holding fixture for trailer lights. I simply installed this into the furthest pocket aft and through bolted. This also is a great place to install a tail light. velcro has been more then fine for ours. We love the boss seats!
Looks like i have a little work ahead of me with thus install. I am surprised the seat needs that much trimming to fit....the one i had on my sx was easy breezy.....
Your SX should have also had two studs. Really easy to remove, just drill out the rivets. Post some pics when you get a chance. Al
